Bumblebee TechnologySTOP PRESS The Minister for the Environment, Water, Heritage & the Arts has rejected the AHGA application for the live import of bumblebees into Australia. A press release appeared in the Sydney Morning Herald on Monday 27 October. As at Wednesday 29 October, the AHGA still had not received official notification of, nor an explanation for this decision. The AHGA has issued two Press Releases, one an initial release from the AHGA President voicing concern over the decision, and the second providing technical rebuttal of the factual inaccuracies in Minister Garrett’s PR. A further response will be forthcoming once notification with explanation has been received and considered.
